The Glofish is a fascinating genetically modified organism which has become very popular as a pet but may also have a scientific use. Firstly, Glofish pose no threat to the environment as they most likely can not survive in the conditions of the wildlife ecosystem and pose a very slim risk of invading other aquatic ecosystems. Additionally, Glofish are a unique because they are the only genetically modified organism to be sold as a pet. This provides people with great enjoyment and Glofish flourish in man-made surroundings. Lastly, further development into Glofish may be helpful in the future in bettering our environment through being able to detect pollutants and being temperature indicators. In conclusion, Glofish are a unique genetically modified organism that should be approved for sale in other countries and be continually researched.
